This is a 3-star hotel ideally located in the heart of Funchal, within easy walking distance to the main attractions of the City. The Hotel do Centro was built in 1994 and recently renovated. With modern furnishings the hotel offers comfortable accommodation in a friendly atmosphere, and is very popular due to the quality of service and hospitality. Situated amidst the bustling streets of this island city, the hotel is close to all city main attraction such as the museums, theatres, cathedrals, and old town. Funchal is the capital of the Madeira Islands of Portugal, and is also the largest city on the islands with over 150,000 inhabitants. Funchal is located in a unique area; the natural geological features form an "amphitheatre" surrounding the city, which begins at the harbour and rises almost 1200 metres high on gentle slopes. This provides a natural shelter and was what attracted the first settlers. It is a vibrant and energetic place, with full of aesthetic qualities for both an interactive and relaxing stay.

The Hotel do Centro is located about 20km from the airport. Heading to Funchal; take the first exit to FUNCHAL, keep straight, take the left turn to Rua Ribeira João Gomes, then turn right to Rua João de Deus, and straight to Rua Bom Jesus. Then on the Canal turn left until the first traffic lights, there turn left and go straight on until you pass by the Church "Do Carmo", the Hotel will appear on the right hand side.

Breakfast is from 7.30 to 10.00 am.
